The rise of German dominance in European history and international relations is no better reflected than in Berlin’s turbulent past, evidence for which abounds: the enlightenment of Fredrick the Great at Sans Souci, the birth of German nationalism and its re-invention at the Brandenburg Gate and the Olympic Stadium, the power of art and architecture under National Socialism, life in the shadow of the Wall at Checkpoint Charlie and post reunification recognition and reconciliation at the Stasi Museum and Wannsee Villa.
Suggested School Trip Itinerary
Day 1 Morning flight, introductory walking tour and evening ascent of the TV Tower
Day 2 Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp,The Olympic Stadium, the House of the Wansee Conference,.
Day 3 The Jewish Memorial, Potsdamer Platz, the Topography of Terror, Checkpoint Charlie.
Day 4 The Berlin Wall memoria, Alexanderplatz last minute shopping , afternoon check in for return flight.
