Art & Design Trip to Paris
One of our Art & Design School Trips
From the Belle Epoque through the highs and lows of the 20th Century and to the cutting edge of the 21st Century, Paris has inspired new movements and attracted the world’s greatest artists to its streets and salons. Today, the city offers an almost incomparable choice of visits and excursions for any school art trip and its relative proximity to the UK makes it an ideal destination by coach, train or air.
Claude Monet moved from Paris to Le Havre when he was only 5 years old and it was here in 1872 , when Monet was 32 years of age he painted 'Impression, Sunrise' which provoked the critic Lois Leroy to coin the term in a satirical review. In May 1883 he moved to Giverny where he later painted the 'Water lilies' in his Japanese style garden. It became his home for the rest of his life.
Whatever your study focus, such is the diversity and dynamism on offer in the City of Lights, any art tour can be tailored to your precise needs.
