The French Revolution
One of our History School Trips
A watershed of modern history, the French Revolution was a violent overthrow of the old order which established many of the freedoms and rights enjoyed by Frenchman and European alike. This regime change gave rise to Napoleon, one of the most influential figures in modern history, who not only dominated Europe militarily but through his civil code was responsible for much of the legislation still in existence in Europe today.
